AKRUS® Silink — two-component zinc silicate primer

Zinc-rich primers

The AKRUS® Silink zinc silicate primer consists of a zinc-containing paste and a solution of an ethyl silicate binder. It protects rolled steel during the fabrication and assembly of sections and blocks — for at least 12 months in a temperate climate and industrial atmosphere. Welding and cutting of the metal are carried out without removing the primer, including by high-speed methods, and the coating dries quickly and is water- and salt-resistant. The field of application is ships and offshore platforms.
