In the cold galvanising system ALPOL acts as a protective and decorative coat over TSINOL and TSINOL-SV. It is a one-pack composition on a high-molecular synthetic polymer with aluminium powder that gives a uniform, glossy silver-grey coating. It is used in civil, road and industrial construction and in the power industry, including for screw-pile foundations of overhead contact line supports. It is applied at air temperatures from −25 to +40 °C; the shelf life is 24 months.
