KhV-0278 Khimtek primer-enamel is based on a solution of perchlorovinyl, alkyd and epoxy resins with a rust modifier and is applied over mill scale, tight rust and old coatings. The coating in 2–3 coats works on its own or under KhS, KhV, ML, PF enamels and varnishes and those of a number of other groups; application at sub-zero temperatures is permitted. Resistance to 3 % NaCl is at least 72 h, to temperature fluctuations from −45 to +60 °C; the colours are red-brown, yellow, light blue and black.
