AKVASTOP PNB swelling bentonite profile — strip for construction joints

Waterstops and swelling profiles

The PNB profile is made of natural sodium bentonite and butyl rubber, with a polymer content of at least 50 %. On contact with water the strip expands in volume by up to 200 %, and its resistance to hydrostatic pressure depends on the section: from 10 atm for 20×10 to 18 atm for 25×19 mm. It is laid in construction joints, floor-to-wall and wall-to-roof-slab junctions, joints of precast reinforced concrete and utility penetrations; the profile is not intended for expansion and shrinkage joints with movement.
