Fire protection of timber

FIREMAG-D is an impregnating solution that gives timber and wood-based materials fire-protective properties at the level of fire protection performance group II. It is sprayed with high-pressure airless units or a spray gun with an interval of at least 12 hours between treatments, and structural elements can be impregnated by immersion for 20–30 minutes in a bath of the product heated to 50 °C. Work is done at a temperature of at least +5 °C, air humidity up to 85 % and timber moisture up to 30 %; the condition of the impregnation is checked at least twice a year.
