GAZ-K prepares the substrate for KROZ fire protection compounds — on steel, reinforced concrete and over existing paint coatings. It is a concentrate based on an aqueous dispersion of styrene-acrylic resins, which is diluted with water before use. The primer is applied in one coat by spray, roller or brush; the next coat can be applied after 20–60 minutes. In addition, the primer protects steel against corrosion; it has no fire protection function of its own.
