Izhora DM-65 bitumen-latex emulsion — sprayed waterproofing for bridges

Izhora DM-65 emulsion is sprayed with a two-channel unit together with a calcium chloride-based hardener solution, and after 5 s the membrane gains 75 % of its strength. It is used to waterproof reinforced concrete bridge slabs, steel orthotropic deck plates of spans, tunnels, flyovers, overpasses and pedestrian underpasses, and as a crack-arresting interlayer on concrete and asphalt concrete. Heat resistance of 260 °C allows hot asphalt mixes, including poured asphalt, to be laid over the membrane. The coating elongates by 1,500 % before break and works from −65 to +260 °C.
