KL-2 fire-protective coating for polymers and composites (KrilaK)

Products made of polymers and composites — PVC, polyethylene, carbon fibre reinforced plastic, fibreglass, glass-fibre laminate — are protected against fire with KL-2. It consists of gas- and foam-forming fillers in an organic emulsion and gives the protected materials fire hazard class KM1. The coating is resistant to decontamination and degassing solutions; under atmospheric exposure it is used with a topcoat. The service temperature range is from −50 to +60 °C, and the service life is at least 15 years.
