Polyurethane enamels

FERROTAN is based on a polyurethane varnish with the anticorrosive pigment micaceous iron oxide (“iron mica”); the enamel is one-component and cures with atmospheric moisture. It is applied as an intermediate coat over TSINOTAN, TSVES or FERROTAN-pro under ALUMOTAN, POLITON-UR and POLITON-UR (UV), and where UV exposure is absent or slight, also as a finish. It is used in oil and gas, the chemical industry, metallurgy, on bridges and hydraulic structures. The coating is dark brown with a metallic sheen and is resistant in fresh and sea water, solutions of salts, acids, alkalis and petroleum products.
