Fire protection of steel structures

The warranty service life of the BOKA KINZOKI-KT VD coating is at least 30 years. The compound is water-based, contains no organic solvents and gives steel structures a rating of up to R150; under cl. 5.4.3 of SP 2.13130.2020 it is also applicable in buildings of fire resistance degrees I and II. The steel must be primed with GF-021 or an equivalent per the design; an adhesion coat is applied in the first pass, then the coating is built up in several passes with intercoat drying from 3 hours at +20 °C. The application temperature is from +5 to +40 °C; the coating forms in at least 72 hours.
