KO-828 Elcon — heat-resistant enamel for low-carbon steel parts
A narrow specialisation sets KO-828 apart from neighbouring grades: the enamel is intended for painting low-carbon steel parts — both phosphated and non-phosphated — heated in service up to +700 °C. The composition is one-component, based on modified silicone resin with a solution of pentaphthalic resin, and requires no priming. Drying to degree 3 takes not more than 2 h at 20 °C or 0.5 h at 150 °C; full cure occurs on heating in service.
