OGNEBARIER MTO fire-protective mastic (sealant)
MTO mastic is an intumescent sealant: when heated it expands many times in volume and forms a dense non-combustible char that does not let fire, gas, smoke or water through. It is used to seal cable penetrations (EIT 120), expansion and construction joints, and penetrations of steel pipes, trays and air ducts (EI 180). It is applied with a sealant gun, spatula or brush at temperatures from +5 to +80 °C, and a film forms within 20–25 minutes. The finished coating operates from −40 to +120 °C at humidity up to 100 % for at least 10 years.
