LAKHTA KMD PRO concrete admixture — complex modifier for concretes and mortars
Mineral-chemical modifier for Portland cement concretes and mortars: water impermeability from W2 to W16 according to laboratory tests.
When water flows through a crack, joint or formwork tie hole, the leak is stopped with LAKHTA water plug, a non-shrink rapid-hardening cement mix. It is mixed with water at room temperature, formed into a cone or ball and pressed into the chased-out hole: at +18…+22 °C setting starts after 1 min and ends after 3 min. The plug hardens right in the water — after an hour its strength is 5.5 MPa, after 28 days 35.0 MPa, and after a day it holds water pressure of 1.0 MPa. The rest of the chase is filled with LAKHTA joint waterproofing.
| Manufacturer | Rastro (LAKHTA, SLAVYANKA, Izhora) — ZAO “Rastro”, Bolshaya Izhora |
|---|---|
| Type | hydraulic plugs |
| Use | leak repair, foundations and basements, joints and junctions, tunnels and metro |
| Base | non-shrink rapid-hardening one-component cement compound (dry mix): Portland cement, quartz filler, active chemical additives |
| Colour | grey dry mix |
| Packaging | plastic buckets of 5 and 10 kg with sealed lids |
| Application method | chase out cracks, butt joints and holes (incl. formwork tie holes) to a depth of at least 60 mm and a width of at least 20 mm, ideally in a “dovetail” shape; clean, wash out or blow out; mix with water at +20±2 °C as per the label, knead by hand for no more than 1 min; prepare a portion to be used within 2…3 min; form a cone/cylinder/ball, press it into the hole and hold until the leak stops (at least 3 min, up to 6 min under strong pressure); the plug fills half the depth, fill the rest with LAKHTA joint waterproofing; large leaks — step by step using the ring method |
| Application temperature | +5…+35 °C (air and structure); mixing water +20±2 °C |
| Curing | initial set 1 min, final set 3 min (at +18…+22 °C); cold below +15 °C slows setting, hot water above +30 °C accelerates it; no special curing required |
| Key properties | compressive strength when cured in water: after 1 h 5.5 MPa, after 28 days 35.0 MPa; bond strength to the substrate: 1 h — 0.2 MPa, 28 days — 2.0 MPa; after 1 day withstands water pressure of 1.0 MPa; aggressive media pH 3…13: ammonium more than 2,000 g/m3, magnesium up to 10,000 g/m3, 10 % caustic soda solution, hydrogen sulphide up to 0.0003 g/m3, methane up to 0.02 g/m3, mineral oil, kerosene, AI-95 petrol 100 % — resistant; service up to +250 °C; non-shrink; contains no substances that cause corrosion of concrete and reinforcement; hazard class 4 |
| Consumption | 1.7 kg/dm³ |
| Shelf life | 12 months from the date of packing; in dry rooms in the manufacturer's packaging; at temperatures above +30 °C protect from direct sunlight |
| Standards | TU 5775-006-11149403-2001 |
