Kristallizol W12 is a dry mix of Portland cement, quartz sand and active additives, applied with a spatula in one pass as a penetrating plaster-type waterproofing. The compound protects concrete, stone and brick structures of underground facilities from inside and outside: foundations and basements below groundwater level, tanks, pools, hydraulic structures and overpasses. It is applied to a damp substrate, even with slight water seepage, and the coating withstands 1.2 MPa (W12). The material is also used to restore damaged concrete and masonry.

Application method25 kg of mix to 5 l of water (200 ml per 1 kg), mix with a mixer at 300–400 rpm or by hand for 5–10 min to a sour-cream consistency, remix in case of false set; apply with a spatula in one pass in a layer of up to 3 mm onto the prepared damp substrate; mechanised application is permitted; use the mixed material within 60 min; preparation: remove finishes and cement laitance mechanically (wire brushes, milling cutters) or chemically (Kristallizol KHIMFREZ, after 1 h — Kristallizol AKTIV); chase out joints, cracks, junctions and utility penetrations with a U-shaped 20×20 mm chase (FBS block joints 40×40 mm, brick masonry 10×10 mm); saturate the structure with water until fully saturated (up to 5 l/m²), the substrate damp but not wet; work from top to bottom: ceiling — walls — floor; care: keep the surface moist for 3 days, protect from mechanical impact, rain, sun and temperatures below +5 °C; finishing work not earlier than after 14 days
