Kristallizol Aktiv is a liquid compound for preparing a concrete substrate that is used only together with Kristallizol KHIMFREZ: first the cement laitance is dissolved with that compound, and after 1 h Aktiv is applied by brush or roller. The treatment increases the bond strength of a new layer to concrete by 1.5–3 times — under cast-in-place concrete, self-levelling floors, screeds, tile adhesive, cladding and cementitious waterproofing compounds. Aktiv on its own is not a waterproofing and is effective for concrete grades up to M300. It is fire-safe, odourless and contains no hydrochloric, acetic, citric or orthophosphoric acids.
