High-strength bentonite mats (SAB 5F) — for slopes and weak soils

Bentonite waterproofing

The high-strength version is obtained by supplementing a standard bentonite mat with a layer of woven or nonwoven geotextile, or a combination of both, using cold lamination technology. The mechanical strength and bearing capacity of such a mat are many times higher than those of the standard one, which matters on steep slopes, weak and collapsible soils and in seismic areas. Installation is carried out with a double overlap joining the waterproofing and load-bearing layers; the version is available for grades SAB4, SAB5, SB4, SB5, MASTERBENT and MASTERBENT P.
