SPLEND-60 fire protection system for air ducts
In the SPLEND-60 system, designed for an EI60 air duct fire resistance rating, thermal insulation is provided by the Folma-Kholst KhF non-woven fabric with a metallised surface, held in place by the high-adhesion NATRSIL-S 541 compound with an inorganic binder. Work is carried out according to the manufacturer’s method statement: the compound is applied by machine, trowel or brush, the fabric is laid on the still-wet layer, and the seams are covered with aluminium tape. NATRSIL-S 541 is packed in 25 kg containers, the fabric in 15 × 1 m rolls.
