The 3-DM mat is supplemented with a laminated geomembrane layer: the virgin polyethylene geonet with geotextile on both sides drains water, while the membrane serves as an additional anti-seepage layer. Longitudinal tensile strength is at least 55–57 kN/m, permeability coefficient normal to the plane at 2 kPa at least 100 m/day, geotextile-to-core bond at least 500 N/m. The mat is used for drainage of underground parts of buildings, tunnels and roads and at landfills, while remaining a protective drainage layer that does not replace the main waterproofing.
