Sazilast 51 — two-component thiokol joint sealant
Sazilast 51 is a two-component polysulfide (thiokol) sealant in the form of a thixotropic paste: it does not run off vertical and overhead joints and does not shrink after vulcanisation. It is used in joints without direct mechanical load — in standing seams of metal roofs, expansion joints of concrete floors, elements of bridges, tunnels and reinforced concrete water conduits, and at service penetrations, except cable ones. Elongation at break is at least 200%, service is from −60 to +90 °C, and UV resistance is increased. Contact with drinking water is not permitted.
