Khimskrin SE 2k, based on an epoxy binder, protects reinforced concrete elements of water treatment plants and sewer networks against sulphuric acid, hydrogen sulphide, oxides of nitrogen, sulphur and carbon and wastewater, and, over a primer, metal surfaces as well. The coating withstands one month of continuous exposure to sulphuric acid at concentrations of 10, 50 and 80 % at 20 and 40 °C, nitric acid 20 %, potassium hydroxide 20 %, ammonia 25 %, petroleum products and oils. The components are mixed in a ratio of 5:2, pot life is 120 minutes; contact with drinking water and application on a damp substrate are permitted.
