AkvaVIS S400 — elastic polyurethane injection resin

Injection waterproofing

AkvaVIS S400 resin is a two-component elastic polyurethane of very low viscosity without solvents: a mix viscosity of 150 mPa·s allows it to penetrate cracks from 0.2 mm. It is used to seal dry and damp cracks, joints and seams in reinforced concrete, and to create cut-off waterproofing against capillary moisture in brick and stone walls. On contact with water its volume hardly increases, the cured compound does not become brittle, and the glass transition temperature is −35 °C. Active leaks are first stopped with AkvaVIS P foam before injection.

Application methodfirst stop active leaks with AkvaVIS P foam or plugging compounds; caulk the cracks with a polymer-cement compound; mix A and B 1 : 1 by volume (100 : 106 by mass) with a low-speed mixer for at least 3 min; holes are drilled at an angle of 30–45° crossing the crack/joint, packer spacing 20–25 cm, often in a staggered pattern; clean the holes with compressed air or water; Ø10 mm packers; one-component piston pump; increase the injection pressure gradually, not above Pmax = 10 atm × concrete class / 3 (for B45 — not more than 150 atm); inject from bottom to top until completely filled (checked at the adjacent packer); after polymerisation remove the packers, plug the holes with a polymer-cement compound; flush tools with “AkvaVIS Cleaner”; re-injection through the same packers is possible within 2–3 h
