Gidroteks-Sh (joint) — non-shrink mix for joints and abutments
Non-shrink penetrating mix for sealing floor–wall junctions, cold joints, service penetrations and cracks; watertightness at least W16.

Redispersible polymers in the composition give the coating elasticity: relative elongation of 10–12%, so the material is suitable for structures under dynamic and vibration loads. The one-component mix is applied with a brush in a criss-cross pattern or mechanically in 2–3 coats, inside and outside, on foundations, basements, pools, tanks and water towers. The watertightness grade is at least W10, bond to concrete at least 2.2 MPa; the coating may be overpainted with polymer-based paints.
| Manufacturer | Gidroteks — OOO “Gidroteks-SPb”, Saint Petersburg |
|---|---|
| Type | coating waterproofing |
| Use | foundations and basements, tanks and pools |
| Base | one-component dry dispersed cement-polymer mix: Portland cements, redispersible polymers, aggregate, complex chemical additives; non-shrink, solvent-free |
| Colour | grey (grey dry dispersed mix) |
| Packaging | 20 kg polypropylene bags |
| Application method | for internal and external waterproofing of structures subject to dynamic and vibration loads, in the absence of active water infiltration at the time of work; clean the substrate down to structurally sound material (wire brushes, rotary hammer, sandblaster or high-pressure water jet) — on both old and new surfaces; open up joints, abutments and service penetrations and fill them with Gidroteks-Sh, open up and fill pressurised leaks with Gidroteks-B, level with Gidroteks-R; final cleaning with a water jet machine or pressurised water, saturating the surface with water (surface clean, rough, generously moistened); waterproofing work — no earlier than 3 days after preparation; wash the prepared surface with a 5% acetic acid solution, after 2 h — with tap water; pour the mix into the mixing water: 33% of the weight (6.6 l per 20 kg) for manual application, 40% (8 l per 20 kg) for mechanised application, water temperature 18–20 °C, pre-wet the container; mix by hand or with an electric mixer for 5–7 min, technological pause 5 min, re-mix for 5–7 min without adding water; during work, stir without adding water; working time 40–60 min; with a synthetic-fibre brush onto a water-saturated surface in 2–3 criss-cross coats or mechanically (GRACO RTX 1500 or equivalent), continuous application, interval between coats at least 30 min; can be painted with polymer-based paints |
| Application temperature | not below +5 °C (ambient air) |
| Curing | no special care required under normal conditions; in hot and dry climates do not allow the coating to dry out for 3 days (covering with materials that prevent evaporation); before finishing wash with a 5% acetic acid solution, then with tap water |
| Key properties | watertightness grade at least W10 (GOST 12730.5); concrete with a 0.8–0.9 mm coating: watertightness under positive pressure W10, under negative pressure W8 (uncoated concrete W2); increase in the watertightness of concrete by at least 2 steps (GOST 31357-2007); bond strength to concrete at least 2.2 MPa (GOST 31383); relative elongation 10–12% (at least 10%); frost resistance of coated concrete 400 cycles (uncoated 150); crack resistance — bridges cracks of 0.25 mm; diffusion permeability to CO2 0.098×10⁻⁴ cm²/s (uncoated 4.16×10⁻⁴); does not reduce chloride ion permeability; chemical resistance of the elastic coating (GOST 25246), mass change: 40% aluminium sulphate +0.20%, 5% HCl +0.55%, 10% NaCl +0.06%, 10% NaOH +0.05%, acetone +0.05%, diesel fuel +0.55%; partially air-permeable; fire-safe; service temperature −40…+90 °C |
| Layer thickness | total thickness at least 1 mm in 2–3 coats |
| Consumption | 0.8–0.9 kg/m² (in terms of dry mix) for 2–3 coats on an even surface |
| Shelf life | 12 months in polypropylene bags; store in dry closed warehouses in the manufacturer's packaging, preventing moistening; at temperatures above +30 °C protect from direct sunlight; bags on wooden pallets 15 cm above the floor, max 8 tiers, cover the pallets with dense polymer film |
| Standards | TU 5716-001-02717961-93 as amended; GOST 31357-2007; GOST 34669-2020; declaration of conformity ROSS RU D-RU.RA01.V.03737/26 dated 16.02.2026, valid until 15.02.2029 |
