Gidroteks latex waterproofing mastic — elastic membrane under tiles
Ready-to-use water-based latex mastic for WCs, bathrooms, pools, balconies and terraces; watertightness W10, tiling after 12 h.

The repair compound does two jobs: it restores the geometry of concrete, reinforced concrete and stone structures before waterproofing is applied, and itself works as plaster waterproofing. It is used to fill cavities and recesses, plaster walls along screeding guides, repair reinforced concrete in residential, industrial and public buildings, and protect basements, bathrooms and showers. The non-shrink mix is applied by hand or mechanically and has a watertightness grade of at least W8, compressive strength of at least 40 MPa and frost resistance of at least 200 cycles.

|---|---|
| Type | coating waterproofing |
| Use | foundations and basements, indoor rooms |
| Base | dry dispersed capillary penetrating waterproofing building mix: Portland cements, aggregate, complex chemical additives; non-shrink plaster, cement-based, solvent-free |
| Colour | grey (grey dry dispersed mix) |
| Packaging | 25 kg polypropylene bags |
| Application method | standalone plaster waterproofing, as well as surface levelling and restoration of the geometry of concrete, reinforced concrete and stone structures before waterproofing; preparation: cleaning down to a sound substrate, opening up and filling joints with Gidroteks-Sh, leaks with Gidroteks-B, final cleaning with water saturation, work no earlier than 3 days later; batch for 1–1.5 h of work, water 18–20 °C; mix by hand or with an electric mixer for 5–7 min, technological pause 5 min, re-mix for 5–7 min without adding water; during work, stir without adding water; levelling: water 18% of the weight (4.5 l per 25 kg), fill cavities and recesses up to 15–20 mm to their full depth, level with a float to an even rough surface, waterproofing — no earlier than 3 days later; plastering: spatter coat — water 20% (5 l per 25 kg), thrown from a plastering scoop in a layer of 3–7 mm; base coat — water 18% (4.5 l per 25 kg), after the spatter coat has set, in a layer of 7–10 mm, levelled with a straightedge along guides from bottom to top; for thicknesses over 15 mm — in layers over metal or glass-fibre mesh, subsequent layers no earlier than 24 h later; working time 60–90 min; manual or mechanised application |
| Application temperature | not below +5 °C (ambient air) |
| Curing | no special care required under normal conditions; in hot and dry climates (high temperature, wind, direct sun) do not allow the hardened mortar to dry out for 3 days — spraying with water, covering; before finishing (painting, whitewashing, wallpaper) wash with a 5% acetic acid solution, then with tap water |
| Key properties | watertightness grade at least W8 (GOST 12730.5); concrete with a 7 mm coating: watertightness under positive pressure W6, under negative pressure W4 (uncoated concrete W2); increase in the watertightness of concrete by at least 2 steps (GOST 31357-2007); flexural tensile strength after 28 days at least 4.0 MPa, compressive strength at least 40 MPa (GOST 310.4); bond strength to concrete at least 1.2 MPa (GOST 31383); frost resistance at least 200 cycles (GOST 10060.1), of coated concrete 300 cycles (uncoated 150); crack resistance — bridges cracks of 0.4 mm; diffusion permeability to CO2 — impermeable; reduces chloride ion permeability; chemical resistance coefficient (GOST 25246): 40% aluminium sulphate 0.84, 5% HCl 0.67, 10% NaCl 0.61, 10% NaOH 0.60, acetone 0.70, diesel fuel 0.79; non-shrink; air-permeable; fire-safe; service temperature −40…+90 °C |
| Layer thickness | spatter coat 3–7 mm, base coat 7–10 mm; over 15 mm — in layers over mesh |
| Consumption | 1.5–1.7 kg/m² per 1 mm of layer thickness (in terms of dry mix) |
| Shelf life | 12 months in polypropylene bags; store in dry closed warehouses in the manufacturer's packaging, preventing moistening; at temperatures above +30 °C protect from direct sunlight; bags on wooden pallets 15 cm above the floor, max 8 tiers, cover the pallets with dense polymer film |
