Gidroteks-V (water-stopping) — penetrating mix for “weeping” surfaces

Gidroteks-V is chosen when water keeps coming through the structure while work is being done: the mix is applied to a “weeping” surface of concrete, reinforced concrete or stone, as a rule from inside the room. The capillary penetrating compound based on Portland cement is used in basements and buried structures, on foundations, beams and bridge piers. The material has a watertightness grade of at least W16, compressive strength of at least 50 MPa, frost resistance of at least 500 cycles and self-heals fine cracks; service from −40 to +90 °C.

Specifications

ManufacturerGidroteks — OOO “Gidroteks-SPb”, Saint Petersburg
Typepenetrating waterproofing
Usefoundations and basements, leak repair, bridge structures
Basedry dispersed capillary penetrating waterproofing building mix: Portland cements, aggregate, complex chemical additives; cement-based, solvent-free
Colourgrey (grey dry dispersed mix)
Packaging25 kg polypropylene bags; 8 and 15 kg polymer buckets
Application methodfor concrete, reinforced concrete and stone structures of buried and semi-buried facilities under constant infiltration of ground or process water (“weeping surface”); work is recommended from inside the rooms; clean the substrate down to structurally sound material (wire brushes, rotary hammer, sandblaster or high-pressure water jet) — on both old and new surfaces; open up joints, abutments and service penetrations and fill them with Gidroteks-Sh, open up and fill pressurised leaks with Gidroteks-B, level with Gidroteks-R; final cleaning with a water jet machine or pressurised water, saturating the surface with water (surface clean, rough, generously moistened); waterproofing work — no earlier than 3 days after preparation; water 20% of the mix weight (5 l per 25 kg), water temperature 18–20 °C; mix by hand or with an electric mixer for 5–7 min, technological pause 5 min, re-mix for 5–7 min without adding water; during work, stir without adding water; working time 25–30 min; remove drops of infiltrating water with a dry cloth and apply with a spatula a layer of at least 2–3 mm, filling cavities and cracks to their full depth; in exceptional cases levelling is combined with the application of Gidroteks-V
Application temperaturenot below +5 °C (ambient air)
Curingcuring as for freshly placed concrete: do not allow the hardened mortar to dry out for 3 days (spraying with water, covering); before finishing, wash with a 5% acetic acid solution, then with tap water
Key propertieswatertightness grade at least W16 (GOST 12730.5); concrete with a 2.0–3.0 mm coating: watertightness under positive pressure >W16, under negative pressure W10 (uncoated concrete W2); increase in the watertightness of concrete by at least 2 steps (GOST 31357-2007); flexural tensile strength after 28 days at least 6.0 MPa, compressive strength at least 50 MPa (GOST 310.4); bond strength to concrete at least 2.0 MPa (GOST 31383), after 28 days 2.7 MPa; frost resistance at least 500 cycles (GOST 10060.1), of coated concrete 600 cycles (uncoated 150); crack resistance — bridges cracks of 0.37 mm, “self-healing” of cracks up to 0.37 mm wide; diffusion permeability to CO2 0.106×10⁻⁴ cm²/s (uncoated 4.16×10⁻⁴); reduces chloride ion permeability; chemical resistance coefficient (GOST 25246): 40% aluminium sulphate 0.86, 5% HCl 0.84, 10% NaCl 0.82, 10% NaOH 0.85, acetone 0.89, diesel fuel 0.80; air-permeable; fire-safe; service temperature −40…+90 °C
Layer thicknessat least 2–3 mm
Consumption2.0–3.0 kg/m² (in terms of dry mix)
Shelf life12 months in polypropylene bags, 18 months in polymer buckets; store in dry closed warehouses in the manufacturer's packaging, preventing moistening; at temperatures above +30 °C protect from direct sunlight; bags on wooden pallets 15 cm above the floor, max 8 tiers, cover the pallets with dense polymer film
StandardsTU 5716-001-02717961-93 as amended; GOST 31357-2007; GOST 34669-2020; declaration of conformity ROSS RU D-RU.RA01.V.03737/26 dated 16.02.2026, valid until 15.02.2029
