Fire protection of steel structures

The kaolin mastic is an aqueous suspension of a polymer binder and functional fillers that raises the fire resistance of steel structures up to R120. NEOFLAME 515 can be used even in premises without forced ventilation; it is sprayed with forced-feed units at temperatures from +5 °C. Besides fire protection, the compound serves as an adhesive for fixing thermal insulation materials to steel structures. It is used in premises with a non-aggressive environment and under a roofed canopy; in high humidity or in type II atmosphere a finishing enamel is applied over the mastic.
