Fire protection of air ducts

SPLEND-30 is intended for air ducts that need an EI30 rating. It consists of two materials: the high-adhesion NATRSIL-S 541 compound on an inorganic binder with mineral fillers, and the Folma-Kholst KhF foil-faced non-woven thermal insulation fabric. The compound is applied to the duct with a plastering and mixing unit, a trowel or a brush, the fabric is glued onto the wet layer, and the joints are taped with aluminium tape. The compound is packed in 20 l polyethylene containers, the fabric in 15 × 1 m rolls.
