Sazilast 53 — high-strength thiokol joint sealant
Among the thiokol sealants of the range, Sazilast 53 stands out for its increased strength: nominal tensile strength at break is at least 0.7 MPa, and Shore A hardness after one day is at least 30. After vulcanisation, the two-component thixotropic paste withstands joint movement of up to 25% and bonds well to marble, granite and metal. It is used in saw-cut joints in concrete, elements of bridges and tunnels, reinforced concrete water conduits and on metal roofs. Contact with drinking water is excluded.
