CarbonWrap® Repair ST repair mortar — thixotropic mix with fibre
Thixotropic fibre-reinforced cement mix for restoring spalls, potholes and cracks in concrete, including under CarbonWrap Grid.
If the substrate cannot be dried, the CarbonWrap external reinforcement system is installed with Resin WS+ saturating resin: it is used only on damp concrete, reinforced concrete, masonry and metal surfaces, and under water. Carbon tapes and fabrics are impregnated with it by hand, and it also serves as the primer in the “wet” method; the components are mixed 2:1 by volume and by weight and applied by roller, spatula or brush. The pot life is at least 30 min at 20 °C, the bond to concrete at least 2.5 MPa, and resistance to oils is stated.

|---|---|
| Type | composite strengthening |
| Base | two-component epoxy saturating resin: component A — thixotropic blend of epoxy resins, reactive diluents, fillers, pigments and functional additives; component B — polyamine hardener with filler and additives; solvent-free |
| Colour | component A — light yellow; component B — brown; mix — light grey |
| Packaging | component A — 10 kg pails, component B — 5 kg pails |
| Application method | installation of the CarbonWrap external reinforcement system on damp concrete, reinforced concrete, masonry and metal surfaces and under water; hand impregnation of carbon tapes and fabrics; primer resin for the “wet” method; used only on damp surfaces; A:B = 2:1 by volume and by weight; mixing with a low-speed mixer at 300–400 rpm with a paddle for 5 min, especially at the bottom and walls, until uniformly light grey, then 1 min at low speed to reduce air entrainment; applied by roller, spatula or brush; bubbles may appear on the surface during curing — remove them (if there is no sand broadcast) |
| Application temperature | air +10…+35 °C; relative humidity no more than 80 % |
| Curing | full cure 7 days at 20 °C |
| Key properties | dynamic viscosity, Brookfield RVT at 25 °C, 20 rpm: A (N=4) 3–10, B (N=3) 1–5 Pa·s; mix density at 20 °C no more than 1.20 g/cm3; pot life at least 30 min at 20 °C (30 min at 25 °C); bond strength (adhesion) at least 2.5 MPa (failure in the concrete); shear strength (7 days at 23 °C) at least 12 MPa; resistance to oils |
| Shelf life | 36 months from the date of manufacture; in intact factory packaging in warehouses at +5…+30 °C; do not stack pallets with components on top of each other |
