Thixotropic repair mortars

A thixotropic repair mortar turns plastic after mixing with water but does not slump, so it is applied by trowel or by spraying to vertical, inclined and overhead areas without formwork. They restore the cover and shape of columns, beams, slabs, bridge piers and spans, tunnel walls, tanks and hydraulic structures after spalling, cavities and rebar corrosion.

  • fibre-reinforced R3 and R4 structural mortars, including 70–80 MPa high-strength grades and metal-fibre grades for impact and vibration;
  • non-structural R2 and R3 products for voids, honeycombing and minor defects;
  • fine-grained finishing mortars for levelling repaired surfaces;
  • winter mortars with antifreeze admixtures that need no heating down to −20 °C, and rapid-hardening grades reaching 20 MPa in 2 hours;
  • a lightweight mortar for ceilings and a thixotropic epoxy that forms a chemical-resistant coating.

To choose, give the concrete class, depth and area of damage, surface orientation and air temperature during work.
